There are too many of us on LJ that are constantly putting ourselves down and forgetting what good we do. The challenge for the first part of this meme, is to think of 10 good things you have done in 2004. Think hard. Everyone can think of 10 good things, big or small, that they have done in 2004. Now is the time to stand up and be counted, to acknowledge that yes indeed, you have done some things to be proud of. Time to tell your friends about them, so that you can receive a few well deserved pats on the back.
Congratulate me here on my achievements, and then post the above in your LJ along with your top 10 achievements, in no particular order:
1) I persuaded the oldest friend I have who still lives in the UK to move up to Manchester to house-share with me.
2) I picked up my guitar and played again. Started learning songs for the first time in about five years.
3) I grew enough to realise that being bisexual was ok...
4) ...and that, sometimes, controlled anger leading to positive action is an important part of being an adult.
5) I set up
myopedia as the first outlet for my creativity (see below for others)
6) I completed my first 2nd-year block of Open University work and got a Distinction
7) I helped a friend (you know who you are) get an interview which led to a job which he's still got
8) I cooked more and better food in the last 12 months than in the previous 5 years
9) I allowed several of my friends to take up (A) some geeky hobbies without shame
10) The control I have over my emotions got a
lot better this year...granted, with help, but it did.
So, go on, congratulate me! ;-)
(A) - in some cases, take up again...8)
