I don't believe it

Further drama, I'm afraid.

My aunt Maureen's has, this morning, been driven into A&E in Portsmouth with a nasty case of rectal bleeding. It doesn't sound very serious, but since her mum died of bowel cancer, I'm a little concerned. Any good thoughts you might have would be gratefully received.

Further reasonable news

Maureen's being well looked after. There's no official news yet, but they're running further tests, and unless they come up with the big flashing letters, it's something that can be fixed easily enough. More news later when I call the hospital again.

It's now been confirmed that Maureen has diverticular problems (see http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/en.aspx?printPage=1&articleId=134). She's going to have to stay in hospital overnight, so I'm going to stay in touch and travel down tomorrow if I need to. Thank you all for your support...
