The Friday Lyrics Quiz: Introduction

With many thanks to Suzi, whose Films Quiz has been occupying the time of many of you, I am blatantly lifting her format to puzzle and bemuse you.

As with her quizzes: No googling for the answers. Deadline is 9am on Monday, and weekly totals will go up shortly after then.

Scoring: A point for the artist, a point for the title. Each lyric will come from a song, or an artist, beginning with the letter mentioned in the quiz header. Forget about 'The' in the artist's name. The first quiz follows shortly.
