Scruples: Moral Dilemmas

The game Scruples is about working out where your friends' moral lines lie. There are 200 questions, each of which offers a moral dilemma. Each player gets a small handful of these, and the game is about working out how your friends will answer each dilemma. The only answers that can be given are Yes, No, and Depends, the last followed by a brief explanation.
When I last played this, there were two complaints from the players; the game was too simple, given the largely shared moral framework of my circle of friends, and that there weren't enough questions about sex and sexuality.
So I've spent this afternoon writing questions to retool Scruples into something a bit more fun. I've got 50 under my belt, and so I wondered what sort of questions my friends and readers could devise. Here's an example from the original game:
"A friend's daughter is pregnant and refuses to tell her parents who the father is. You know. Do you tell your friend?"
So far I've put together questions under the headings of Infidelity, Parenting, Sexual Liberalism and Being Out. Anyone got any ideas for new headings, or for interesting questions? In order to keep the questions secure, this post is screened. But don't worry, you'll see them all eventually. 8)

Date: 2011-07-29 04:19 pm (UTC)I have a really, really old copy (probably made in the 80s) which we tried playing a year or so ago.
The questions were so horiffic, things along the lines of "Your daughter brings a black boyfriend home...does it bother you?"
I imagine that they got slightly better in later versions, but we've never played it again because it was just so conservative and as you said above, easy to guess people's true responses.
A more tailored version of the game sounds like a fun idea though! "Your girlfriend's boyfriend admitted to you that he killed her fish by mistake whilst you were on holiday, and replaced them with similar ones. Do you let on to her?" etc *grin*
