Last week was a bit unofficial - but here it is! The return of the Lyrics Quiz!

Rules: Here are eleven questions. In ten cases, you'll get a song lyric and the year it was a hit. One point shall be awarded for the artist, and one point for the song title. You are NOT, at the request of several players, permitted to google for the answers. Your answers will be screened until Friday, when the answers and scores will be posted. Question 11 is worth five points on its own. And here it all goes behind a

1) "You keep saying you've got something for me/ Something you call love, but confess." 1966

2) "Bright lights the music gets faster / Look boy, dont check on your watch / Not another glance / I'm not leaving now, honey not a chance" 1981

3) "I couldn't stop laughing / no I just couldn't help myself / See you messed up my mental health /I was quite unwell" 2006

4) "Don't want to travel in the danger zone / Take another number / Don't want a lover who can hold her own / Baby step aside if you don't want to ride" 1990

5) "We are a rock revolving / Around a golden sun / We are a billion children / Rolled into one" 1991

6) "At the moment that you wake from sleeping and you know its all a dream / Well the truth may come in strange disguises" 1996

7) "I can be your TITLE, baby / I can kiss away the pain / I will stand by you forever / You can take my breath away" 2002

8) "You say / I should do it differently / I don't / Necessarily agree / Stand up! / Sit down! / Be nice! / Did ya hear me ask for your advice?" 2003

9) "Some day somebody's gonna make you want to turn around and say goodbye / Until then baby are you going to let them hold you down and make you cry?" 1990

10) "Today you say you deyah / Tomorrow you say you're gone / But you're gone so long/ If there is no love in your heart - so sorry" 1988

10a) "And I said Hey! / What a wonderful kind of day / If we could learn to work and play / and get along with each other" recorded by the same artist as #10. Hope This Helps

Ok I've had a quick look. Theres some looking familiar but here's what I've come up with in a few secs.
2. ABBA, possibly voulez vous, but brain not working hmm it could actually be gimme gimme gimme,
5. Salt water? Haven't a clue who by, but it used to make me cry and I know the words!
7. Hero, Enrike Eglasias (or however you spell it!)
10a. This is breaking my brain cos its the theme music from Arthur, a really cool kiddy music.
Theres probably a link between them all but I think I may need more songs to find it! Though I am sort of wondering if they're all theme music for TV shows. I'll try and have another look when I'm feeling more coherent!
