Some of you may have seen elsewhere that [livejournal.com profile] saintmaryuk and I have split up. It's quite amicable, but nonetheless we are both hurting like hell. I've also, not without a lot of thought, accepted that I'm not currently emotionally stable enough to be in any kind of serious relationship. As a result, I've also broken up with Damien, who I'd been seeing since the new year. Again, things are amicable but painful. I'm hoping to throw myself into my work next week; in addition, at the first opportunity, I'm going to seek therapy to fix what's wrong.

I'm sorry to hear it, glad you're still able to be friendly and hopeful that the pain will diminish rapidly.

We're both less than perfect here (Damien and I've been together a couple of years or so), but I think we'll get through. Loss is a new one on him, just hope I can support him as much as he's supported me through it in the past.

*hug* Just remember that there was precious little that could be done, and that things were amicable. And full marks for seeking a diversion.

I hope you're both alright and are being given support. Glad you're staying friends.

Oh god
I'm really sorry
all I can offer is hugs
and a small piece of insight
that therapy is not about fixing yourself.
its about a realtionship that hopefully helps you to gain insight into what is hurting you and hopefully give you the support to make the changes you want
and I hope you find the answers soon
a good first stop is CBT in that it can help give you some tools, beyond that things get more complex if you need to delve deeper into yourself
big hugs

*hugs* As I said in her LJ, it always hurts, no matter what the reason or how amicable it is. Therapy can be very helpful. Take from it what you need and discard what you don't. The best therapist don't talk much.

I told Mary I was going to offer you hugs.

It's hard work staying friends, but if you can cope with the pain (I agree with [livejournal.com profile] megabitch it alaways hurts), it is very rewarding. I hope you work things out whichever way works for you.

Hugs

With the therapy, and with the career, you know you still have my support.
